The Pre-Sales Telecom Consultant will work as a business advisor to provide timely, high quality client service to our mid-market clientele. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, a strong work ethic, and good client relations.
Responsibilities include:
* Evaluating and assessing client's voice and data communication systems.
* Researching voice and data technologies and attending vendor product update seminars.
* Recommending and implementing voice and data communication systems.
* Developing product specifications for telecom designs.
* Presenting telecommunicaitons demonstrations to clients.
* Identifying opportunities for selling network solutions, including data and voice communication consulting services and systems.
* Establishing rapport and trust with key client decision makers.
Position Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related
* 3-5 years experience working in a telecommunications role
* 2-3 years of IT consulting experience strongly preferred
* Experience with either Cisco, Avaya, or ShoreTel VoIP solutions
* Experience with VoIP network designs, including QoS configurations
* Excellent sales and customer service skills
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to provide hands-on technical support
* Willingness to work out of various client offices
* Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest as needed
