Soarian Clinical experience is a big plus! Essential Accountabilities:• Ensure that the system meets the business requirements of the customer. Serve as the advocate for clinicians regarding operational and system requirements• Understand goals and benefits of the project. Facilitate organizational changes required in support of these goals • Facilitate evaluation of the current processes• Work with operational managers to communicate project status as well as to identify and resolve issue• Participate in work flow design meetings, functional specification development and system implementation Other Accountabilities: • Establish and maintain a professional, team-oriented environment• Assist in assigning and delegating operational tasks to Clinical Analysts• Participates in the development of effective staff training programs• Set performance standards for each job position within assigned area which are aligned with overall goals of the project• Conduct regular staff meetings within assigned area to ensure communication and effective planning• Assists in hiring, performance monitoring, coaching, counseling, etc. within assigned department• Authority to review policies and procedures, and to recommend changes as appropriate • Provides input into annual staff performance evaluations• Learn the capabilities and benefits of the information systems within the scope of these projects. Attend vendor education classes. • Learn the workflow design tools and processes which are success factors for this project.• Attend Project Team meetings to provide and receive project updates• Provide clinicians’ needs regarding communication, information, clinical processes, and patient care.• Communicate project status to clinical areas following project’s communications plan • Demonstrate the system as required.• During Analysis and Design Phases: Participate in the workflow analysis; documenting current workflows.Serve as the key contact for clinicians and/or operational areas as assigned regarding communication, information, and clinical processes as they relate to the project.Assist in defining and documenting business requirements for operational areas as assigned.Assist in identifying process improvements as facilitated by workflow analysis. Assist in development of system specifications including interfaces, conversions and report requirements.Assist in the identification of policy and procedure changes required to support application rollout. • Project Development: Assist and assure modifications of policies and procedures required to support process changes identified in design are completed.Assist in evaluation and making modifications to existing downtime procedures to support new process and system changes. Assure they are completed on schedule. Assist in testing of downtime procedures • Project Testing: Assist in developing testing scenariosParticipate in the testing phases of implementation: both unit and integrated.Assist in the resolution of issues • Project Training: Assist in the development of the training methodology and materialsAssist with training • Live PhaseAssist in development of Live event plan.Support clinician end users during Live event and post-live or the implementation of process improvements REQUIREMENTS (Education, Skills, Duties) • Classes in workflow analysis desired.• Classes in Information technology or Informatics desired• RN preferred Skill Requirements: • Experience with workflow design is desired• Strong communication skills; ability to produce clear, complete, and concise documentation. • Solid organizational, planning and project management skills• Sound understanding of clinician practices and procedures within the organization.• Understand Quality Assurance/ Utilization Review procedures• Familiar with the nursing staff and other clinician organization and key contacts• Knowledge of computer systems and applications within a healthcare environment is required• Experience with data gathering, analysis, and process documentation tools such as VISIO and Excel Experience: • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making ability and effective interpersonal skills.• Previous management/supervisory experience• Must have experience as a team member or team leader in system implementation of a clinical application, preferable with a scope including standardization and workflow analysis. Implementation across multi-facility is a plus. • Well acquainted with clinical and operational practices • Strong understanding of the customer’s operations; experience in one of the departments for which they are responsible• Recognized by their peers for their ability and understanding of our client's workflow processes.
