Clinical Systems Analyst

Primary Function:

This position is responsible for serving as a liaison between Corporate HealthSpring and LWHC center staff to ensure that services standards, systems functionality, and process / workflows are properly implemented and maintained.  As the liaison, he/she will coordinate to provide implementation and ongoing training support, identify process improvements, conduct reporting and auditing, and is a resource for level one help desk activities.  Serves as systems super user and assists the Clinical Practice Manager to ensure high level of efficiency in all aspects of practice management activities.  Facilitate communication between primary offices and LivingWell to ensure proper and efficient integrated workflows.

Responsibilities:

·  Serves as the first line of contact and considered the super user / subject matter expert for all applications

·  Manages and resolves complex problems in coordination with HealthSpring LWHC Corporate team

·  Provides training during the deployment of new LivingWell facilities 

·  Serves as the trainer and conducts follow-up / reinforcement training related to new tools/processes

·  Completed audit process and follow up as identified to adhere workflow, compliance, and performance standards. 

·  Implements and maintains LWHC culture training and ongoing support

·  Assists in development and implementation of EMR training, support activities, and monitoring functionality usage

·  Provides feedback and assists Clinical Practice Manager with ongoing process improvement activities

·  Provides level one IT help desk support

·  Manages and supports resolution of all Link Logic errors

·  Develops and maintain relationships with physicians, care team and external office staff

·  Participates in health center team meetings

·  Maintains comprehensive knowledge of all health center applications related to functionality and limitations as applicable to workflow and operational needs

·  Implements training and re-training on applicable modules to assure proper usage by partner physicians and staff and evaluate effectiveness of process

·  Provides education and workflow management for operational, clinical, P4Q, EMR related activities

·  Assists with achieving all organizational goals and objectives

·  Participates in local, regional, or national user groups or organizations to enhance networking / contacts and obtain best practices for implementation as applicable to job position

·  Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:

·  Bachelors degree in nursing, health care or business related field preferred

·  A minimum of 2-3 years of experience with EMR in practice management setting

·  Minimum of 2 years in healthcare IT setting, preferably with healthcare technology

·  Knowledge/experience in ICD-9 and CPT coding guidelines preferred

·  Strong computer skills in Microsoft office products

·  Knowledge of practice management system(s) preferred.

·  Experience working in a technical role in the software industry with an EMR preferred

·  Experience with GE Electronic Medical Record and Practice Management systems preferred

 

Travel:

·  Up to 75% of travel related to implementation and maintenance of LivingWell centers
