Clinical Systems Analyst - Radiology Systems/ PACS Admin
The ITS department serves the users of the multiple Cerner/KIDS/HRIS applications that have been installed at all the Children's service sites. The members of the PowerChart, Pharmacy, registration, orders, care coordination, radiology, D&RS, billing and scheduling teams work to provide 24-hour coverage for these patient-related applications. Other non-patient care systems include: PeopleSoft, Kronos, and Groupwise. They are involved in daily support and investigation into the future needs of our staff and patients. They investigate and test software, such as security access, and hardware, such as new wireless devices.This position is required to meet the needs of both IT Application development staff and Radiology clinical users as they relate to Radiology application implementation, support and maintenance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Radiology or in a related area and 2 years of healthcare or information management experience. Equivalent experience or alternative training in a related area may substitute for the degree. Preferred candidate will have practical experience in Radiology operations and workflow or clinical application development. An understanding of the various clinical process flows and Radiology practice and procedures a plus. Preferred candidate will have an advanced understanding of the technical aspects of the PACS system and is familiar with modality integration into the PACS system. The ability to manipulate data with standard tools. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of associates and management. Demonstrates advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to evaluate user needs against current system capabilities. Ability to accurately and effectively translate department requirements to system specifications. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Window products (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Project) or equivalent. Knowledge of the software development cycle, relational databases and client-server concepts Job Description: Primary support of Children¿s Radiology Systems (RadNet, PACS, Voice, etc.). Evaluates user educational requirements and provides ongoing training as necessary. Participates in the development (design, test, end user acceptance) of the Radiology systems. Works closely with clinical staff, site leadership, IT Application development, Radiologists and physicians to ensure successful implementation of clinical applications and user orientation and training. Provides feedback to Clinical applications supervisors and managers related to clinical user interactions of the applications. Assists end users with adaptation of new processes related to system implementations and is able to communicate system changes to applications team if necessary.
