Cognos Report Writer

Growing, national Technology Rental Company is looking for an experienced Cognos Report Writer to support all enterprise reporting initiatives for their future Rental Management Systems (RMS).

 

The Report Writer must have the ability to create, modify and organize reports on the new RMS reporting application Cognos Reportnet.  In addition responsibilities include MS Access 2.0 report writing on the current system, supporting changes to existing reports and developing new reports as needed.  Other responsibilities include enforcing the standardization of look and feel for all reports based on corporate criteria as well as data cleansing during the planned migration from the current to future RMS.

 

To be considered for this opportunity, the ideal candidate must have working knowledge of XML, XSL, Cognos report writing and MS Access and must be able to clearly articulate roadblocks, risks, delivery status and delivery alternatives to management and executive teams.  Excellent interpersonal and strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
