Job Description

The Clinical Applications Development team develops internal clinical and physician software products and implements third party products across a wide range of technologies and on distributed and centralized platforms.

 

This role will require a breadth of technical web and database skills in addition to strong analytic and personal skills. The solutions developed and supported will have strategic importance and visibility across the entire enterprise and will affect clinical and physician documentation of patient care.

 

The Sr. Web Application Developer codes programs using Adobe Flex, ColdFusion, JavaScript, Oracle PL/SQL and T/SQL 2000 databases on Windows platforms, following application design documents and guidelines architected by other team members. Tasks include analysis, programming, problem resolution, data integration, testing, documentation, and implementation. The selected individual must be capable of developing web pages using Flex and ColdFusion MX with a PL/SQL backend. The individual must be capable of performing in a dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and be a self-starter capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision. The individual must have good verbal and written skills and be capable of interacting and communicating with clients; and possess the ability to proactively identify and resolve problems and respond immediately to production system failures. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and performs a variety of complicated tasks.

 

Job Functions:

Designing, developing, deploying, and supporting web sites

Experience (2+ years) with Internet technologies including Cold Fusion, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Javascript, XML, Flash

Expert Proficiency in Cold Fusion MX 7 and Cold Fusion Object Oriented Programming

Demonstrated Proficiency with FLEX and ActionScript

SQL development with good understanding of designing efficient SQL

 - Demonstrated Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL Coding

 - Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft T/SQL Coding

Demonstrated Proficiency with FLEX and ActionScript

Demonstrated Proficiency with XML and Generating Web Services

The candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven record of managing their own time and work. He/She will need to provide regular status reporting to their manager and be able to assess potential issues and risks to project timelines.

Manage all source code in StarTeam and work closely with Build and Release management to insure proper deployment
