Computer Operations Manager

Canon ITS, a subsidiary of Canon USA, is seeking an experienced Computer Operations Manager in their Chesapeake, Virginia Customer Support Center.  As the Computer Operations Manager you can expect to provide management, work direction and expertise to the computer operations function of the organization. This position requires the maintenance and support of our entire computer and network operations.

 

This position will be responsible for managing our internal help desk, supporting a 500-user network. You will manage the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, desktop PCs, hardware, software and operating systems. Provide tactical and strategic input on the overall network planning, computer operations and other related projects. May troubleshoot various systems and recommend improvements. Develop and implement a successful disaster recovery/business continuance strategy with data retention and recovery.

 

Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent direct related experience. Four to Seven years' related experience required. Prior support environment experience, supervising a help desk environment is required. Experience with networking concepts, SANS (Storage area networks) and enterprise backup procedures are helpful.

 

Hours for position: Days with on call as needed.
