We are searching for a hard working and dedicated individual who will be responsible for monitoring the availability of the enterprise system of computers to provide 24 X 7 access to our customers. This opportunity offers competitive pay, excellent benefits and is a great place to expand your skillset and contribute to the growth of the company.  Job Responsibilities: Correct or escalate errors and abends to report on system availability through defined procedures and tools. Maintain accurate and timely processing of all jobs, daily or monthly, during all shifts. Correct job abends/errors or escalate to next level of support if necessary and follow thru until the problem is resolved. Maintain documents and procedures for system processing, computer room, contact lists, building procedures, and production control. Monitor the Ops/Command center and take the corrective action immediately in critical situations. Change tapes on a nightly basis for backup purposes in Win2000, Unix and AS400 environments. Perform TMS commands and maintenance for mainframe media. Issue proper MVS, JES2, CA-7, Control-M, OPSMVS, and Xerox/Unix commands through system consoles. Control software for report distribution through CA-Dispatch and VPS software products The ability to control hardware and system resources from system commands on all platforms Mainframe, AS400, Unix, Win2000. Communicate, issue commands and maintain connectivity with remote AS400 systems enterprise wide through both RJE and local console control. Open, update, escalate, and close problem tickets and generate reports from the Peregrine and Remedy Systems.
