Computer Operator Level I

 

 

Alliant Cooperative Data Solutions is looking for a Jr. Computer Operator/Windows Administrator to work in our northern Westchester office in Brewster, New York.  This position will be responsible for hands-on support of internal users and production jobs.  Strong candidates will have experience supporting Microsoft applications and monitoring production processes.

 

Principle Responsibilities:

·  Provide first level support to end-users at all levels in the organization

·  Troubleshoot workstation problems, provide first-level support for help desk calls, manage the help desk ticket tracking system, and maintain help desk documentation

·  Answer technical questions and perform troubleshooting regarding the use and identification of personal computer hardware and software

·  Schedule, execute, traffic, QA and assure on-time delivery of production jobs.

·  Liaise with developers, customers and account managers for scheduling and QA issues.


Other Requirements:

·  1+ years of related work experience

·  Working knowledge of Windows 2000/XP and Microsoft desktop applications

·  Experience with various data transfer methods (tape, FTP, etc.).

·  Rotating Weekend Coverage

·  LINUX/UNIX knowledge a strong plus

·  BA or BS in computer science, MIS or other related field

·  Team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

·  Strong verbal communication skills

·  Local candidates preferred
