WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION? 

 

The P&C Application Technical Services organization is looking for a dynamic individual with operational enterprise experience to support current and future application software tools and aiding with the departments Configuration Management policies and procedures.

 

The ATS Distributed Tools and Automation Group (DTAG) is charged with the POC work, planning, installation, configuration and ongoing maintenance of ATS-owned tools, as well as rationalizing the toolset to eliminate redundancy and gaps. The current tool set under management by DTAG is comprised of the following tools: Blackbox, Tealeaf, TransactionVision, i3, Oracle Grid and SharePoint. Process documentation and automation are also functions that will be supported by this incumbent.

 

In addition to the tools experience the position will support the eB&T/P&C Configuration Management initiative by defining and evolving the federated CMDB strategy. This encompasses, assisting with the CMDB re-architecture initiative, implementation of automation into the various ITIL silos managed by the ATS organization, operational management of the Configuration Management processes, as well as working with ATS Automation management to define and help implement the overall Strategy for our federated CMDB model.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

The ATS Distributed Tools and Automation team is looking for an ambitious, outgoing individual looking to grow in their technology career and help the ATS organization deliver on key business objectives.Three or more years working in an operation’s or engineering role with experience supporting Windows and/or Unix-based systems and tools. Specific knowledge pertaining to purpose and benefits associated with good Release Management processes and their interaction with other processes in the organization (i.e. Change, Configuration and Release Management). The candidate will ideally have experience in deployment and/or approving of Change/Release. Demonstrated ability to document process and procedure. Ability to quickly assimilate new technologies and an ability to adapt to a rapidly changing, fast paced environment are required. Ability to work in highly matrixed environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Good organizational skills and self-starter Must have solid interpersonal skills and be able to effectively deal with conflict and ensure outcome does not compromise team goals.
