Configuration Management

Primary responsibilities will include activities in support of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Analysis and reconciliation of existing asset and discovered data sources. Development and implementation of business processes for Configuration Management.Reconciliation of exception reporting out of the CMDB - assets dropped from config feeds, discovery dropped from config feeds, asset fails to match discovery, missing CI's from the CMDB. Assist with the identification of new data sources and data attributes based on CMDB deliverables. Assist in mapping data from data repositories into new Configuration management database (BMC Atrium). Additional Skills: Data flow analysis experience required Technical/functional design analysis experience required Proficient in Microsoft office suite including Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint, Visio. Ability to communicate clearly with team members in non-technical terms Ability to understand and learn business processes before making any technical decisions Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks Ability to pay close attention to detail BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Knowledge and/or experience with SQL perferred. Knowledge and/or experience with ITIL Configuration Management a big plus Detail oriented a must.
