Content Manager

Clear Channel University (CCU), in Houston, Texas, is a division of Clear Channel Management Services, LP, a leading media and entertainment company. CCU is focused in the areas of employee Recruitment, Training, Development, and Retention within Clear Channel Radio.   Clear Channel Radio’s Intranet team at CCU is looking for a Content Manager to take responsibility for gathering, writing, editing, and proofing all content posted on the site. The position is critical to maintaining the highest standards of excellence while clearly communicating the resources and materials available to our employees. Are you curious about media advertising?  Do you enjoy learning/working in a unique, fun, and challenging environment?  If so, Clear Channel might be the right fit for you!   General Description: · Excellent skills to flawlessly write compelling content for articles and feature stories · A reporter’s instinct for gathering and filtering stories and information from multiple sources· An editor’s eye for proofing existing materials to ensure the highest standards are maintained · Leadership experience in establishing and enforcing style and content standards · Strong organizational proficiencies including systems for developing an editorial calendar and collateral · Managerial finesse for maximizing the performance of the Intranet’s content team · Strong research skills in order to capture relevant content from both internal and external sources · The focus to author postings quickly and extremely accurately · The knack for developing influential relationships with content owners and subject-matter experts· The willingness to provide support to other areas of the Intranet/University as assigned  Job Requirements· 8 years experience in a communications or web writing/editing role · BA/BS in English, Journalism, or a relevant field · Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills · Superb attention to detail, we’re looking for a perfectionist  · Strong organization and communication skills · Clear understanding of appropriate database management systems · Basic HTML coding experience in a system such as Dreamweaver· Experience in SharePoint, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and other web technologies a plus  Please send cover letter, resume, a brief example of your work, and salary requirements to recruiting@clearchannel.com , with 'Content Manager' as the subject.
