Starting here:Contract Interaction Designer US-GA-Atlanta Job Description The User Experience team at AutoTrader.com is seeking an experienced Interaction Designer.The Interaction Designer is responsible for creating and updating wireframes and flows to document the interaction design for AutoTrader.com. The Interaction Designer will be responsible for ensuring that the interaction design specifications support business, user and technical requirements. This role requires excellent communication skills with both team members and internal business constituents. A successful Interaction Designer must also be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.This position is responsible for designing and delivering detailed user interface specifications for development. This position will also contribute to creating high-level interaction design concepts and usability testing efforts. The Interaction Designer works closely with others on the User Experience team, Product Management, and the IT development team to ensure that the AutoTrader.com consumer web site and other web-based products meet business objectives, support the brand, and are useful, intuitive and desirable to users.The User Experience department follows user-centered design methods which incorporate iterative design with rapid usability testing. Qualifications -3+ years experience creating wireframes, page flows, site maps and other related documentation-Experience working within a user-centered design process-Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, along with the ability to be a self-starter -Strong interpersonal and communication skills including excellent written and verbal skills-Attention to detail and follow-through on completion of tasks-Good prioritization, planning and organizational skills to meet project deadlines-Experience balancing multiple projects concurrently-Usability testing experience a plus-Bachelor's degree in Information Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field strongly preferred; Masters degree a plus-Previous experience in the automotive industry a plus-Consulting experience a plus Responsibilities -Analyze business goals and requirements and translate them into detailed user interface specifications-Contribute to the creation of documentation and conceptual visualizations to communicate high-level design direction and framework -Present interaction design specification documents to peers as well as business leaders-Adhere to AutoTrader.com interface design standards and industry best practices to maintain consistency and quality across applications and websites-Help define and adhere to user interface style guide for AutoTrader.com-Participate in usability testing, reviews and evaluations to identify issues and provide an enhanced user experience-Help to maintain and evolve AutoTrader.com interaction design guidelines through research and collaboration with other User Experience team members-Help to foster an open and productive atmosphere within the design team
