Job Description Individuals in the Project Based - AO workgroup provide specialized outsourcing business development and service delivery expertise to support mobilization efforts associated with Accenture’s outsourcing services to one or multiple clients. People in this workgroup may work on short- to medium-term assignments for up to 18 months and are assigned depending on their capabilities, specialization and their availability to meet the project’s timeline requirements. Application Outsourcing (AO) incorporates skills which support the programming, management and maintenance services required to implement and support new installations or maintain and improve existing legacy systems for our clients. Commercial Management Services (CMS) provides and manages all legal advice and support to Accenture. CMS aims to give objective, focused, practical advice and solutions based on an understanding of the law and Accenture’s business, which is essential in a competitive marketplace. The CMS teams work closely with each engagement to find ways to maximize revenue and manage risk and to ensure that Accenture complies with its contractual obligations. Job Summary: Organizes, controls, and directs the work activities of a team of Contract Management professionals to support the business unit. Formulates program goals and objectives to focus activities towards effective performance of Contract Management team. Exercise effective, proactive management techniques to adhere to performance objectives and measurements. Directly influences and provides guidance to and sets the example for others to follow in terms of professionalism and overall demeanor. • Responsible for the management and delivery of Contract Management services and support to the business• In conjunction with other US Contract Management Unit Leads, develops, disseminates and implements best practices consistently across the business units• Understands, supports, and enables business and strategy of the business unit • Determines the effective and efficient assignment of duties to positions• Selects personnel for employment and work assignments• Sets performance standards, evaluates work performance, and takes action to recognize excellence and to correct deficiencies• Working closely with the legal team lead, ensures seamless contract formation and contract execution support is delivered to the organization• Actively markets and promotes the contract management function within the business unit Qualifications Basic Qualifications: • 12+ years contract management experience. • 12+ years of contract negotiation and drafting skills with pre and post sales contracts within the Federal Government industry. • 12+ years experience working on Information Technology outsourcing projects/clients in a contract management role. • 5+ years experience working with the DoD (Department of Defense) contracts. Professional Skill Requirements: • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills • Comprehensive knowledge of general corporate business practices, Federal government acquisition regulations and principles, subcontracting practices, and accounting and finance principles • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, mathematical and analytical skills • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member. • Ability to be flexible and work in a problem-solving environment. • Demonstrated successful management of complex deals • Collaborative and persuasive; able to influence executives and non-executives • Able to effectively communicate with client executives and all levels of the organization Note: A Senior Contract Manager should support annual revenue between $300 million and $500 million dollars. The factor should not only be the volume but also the risk associated with the deals, the complexity and the special knowledge required.
