Creative Web Designer/Developer

COMSYS has an exciting full time opportunity for a mid level web designer to join our User Experience team, located in Richmond, Virginia.The candidate should have a balanced skill set, drawing from practical experience as a designer and web programmer.Ability to execute multiple projects concurrently, and function in a fast-paced environment is required.Excellent written and oral communications are also required. Motivated, flexible, self-starter who is able to work independently on projects and as a team member is a must.Responsibilities- Design Internet and intranet websites for a variety of clients- Create Site Maps, HTML templates, and design comps for client presentations- Implement new and maintain existing Web Content Management Systems (CMS)- Interface with a wide range of internal and external customers to define website requirements and turn those requirements into technical specifications- Prepares web site/CMS client documentation as requiredRequirements- 3-7 total years of web development experience- 3-7 years of classic HMTL experience- 3+ years of Macromedia Dreamweaver- 2+ years of graphic design experience- 2+ years of Adobe Photoshop- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of clients- Proficiency hand-coding HTML & CSSPreferred Skills- Knowledge of JavaScript and XHTML- ASP.NET experience- Other Internet technologies, XML and XSLT a plus- Experience in a consulting role/environment- Quality Assurance/Testing experience- Knowledge of Ektron Content Management System (CMS)- Experience with mid/large scale web development projects- Technical writing/documentation experience- Knowledge of SDLC best practices- B.S. degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Related AreaTravel - there is potential travel of under 20%, it would be occasional and 2-3 days at a time.
