The Hunton Group is currently seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to initially work at our office near the Beltway and Westpark Dr. This position will relocate to a new location near Intercontinental Airport by the end of the year.

Description:
The Hunton Group is seeking a full time Desktop Support Specialist with Unix/Linux skills to join our IT team. 



Responsibilities:

The desktop support specialist will be responsible for the day to day support at our Greens Rd location.  Desktop support services include the installation, repairing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and support of all hardware, software, and network related problems.


Skills Required:

Minimum 3-5 years supporting a variety of software/hardware products

Microsoft OS and Office suite - All Versions

Rebuilding and configuring Desktops/Laptops

Installing network printers

Network Protocols

Active Directory

Outlook/Exchange

PBX Systems

Terminal Servers

Backup Exec

Strong troubleshooting skills a must

Some Linux/Unix skills is preferable

Knowledge of Cisco routers/switches is a plus

 

Education and/or Experience Required:
Bachelor’s/Associate's degree in IT, CS, MIS, business, or equivalent work experience.  Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment required.
