This practice provides specialized business and technology consultants who can look into the specifications of a program from multiple perspectives, understand the complexity of the issues and then design comprehensive solutions that support business needs and optimize technical infrastructure. Responsibilities & Duties:The Data Analyst role is someone who should provide understanding of thedata families to be modeled as it relates to the functional application anddefinition of the data elements.Data analyst will be required to maintain the business glossary datadefinition & ontology that is mapped to the physical data. This role willessentially the business subject matter experts of the data.Develop expertise on information relating to the organization's businessfunctions; information which defines and describes the organization'sbusiness rules, processes, practices and methods to conduct and manage thebusinessProvide Data-driven analysis, reporting, monitoring, data rule andintegration specificationThis role will assist data management team in understanding:"What does this field actually mean in a business context?""How can I rapidly communicate the business requirements to thedevelopers?"With the data models developed combined with expertise in the data elementdefinitions and relationships, data analysts will be required to worktogether with data modelers to perform data lineage analysis and impactanalysis required when implementing changes to the data.Desired Efficiency:Functional/Technical Qualifications:* Required: FULL CBP Security Clearance (Background Investigation)* Required: At least 5 years experience performing data analysis and/ordata modeling* Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers and share ideassynergistically.* Excellent written and spoken English skills* Sound judement to plan and accomplish goals* Creativity, innovative, and divergent thinking skills* Strong facilitation skills* Ability to adapt to a changing environment and proactively pursueincremental improvementsUnique Skills:This position is located at the IBM facility in Fairlakes, VA withsignificant local travel to the customer site at Springfield, VA. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Six or more years of experience in data / database analysis and design Experience working with CSC Catalyst and/or equivalent client or vendor-mandated methodology Experience working with the client's enterprise products, services, and strategies Experience working with two or more database management systems (DBMS) on two technical platforms Other Qualifications Good database performance modeling and benchmarking skills Strong communication skills Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on both the client and CSC Ability to adjust personal style to different situations Willingness to travel Remote Work Location Authorized:Yes Relocation Assistance:AvailableClearance Level:None Create Success
