Data Modeler / Information Architect

Data Modeler / Information Architect  Summary A major health plan company headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking experienced contractor or contract-to-hire Data Modelers (also known as Data Architects or Information Architects) for exciting, strategic enterprise-wide projects. We prefer a seasoned professional with health care, who can hit the ground running. Candidates with Trizetto Facets experience is highly desired. Scope and Responsibilities  3+ years hands-on experience building conceptual, logical and physical data models Enhancing existing models or reverse engineering and documenting legacy systems Participating in data analysis and data dictionary and/or metadata management Collaborating with business analysts, SME’s, ETL developers, data quality analysts and database administrators. Researching best data sources and data mapping business rules Providing consulting services regarding information flow and data content issues  Knowledge (Skill/Level): Ideal skills and experience include: · Knowledge of health plan operations and systems is preferred, with expertise with claims, provider and member subject areas. · Ability to influence and sell soundness of design delivered · Data Administration and Data Management experience · Metadata and Master Data Management experience  Qualifications · 3+ years experience with ERWIN, CA All-Fusion, preferably including Model Mart · Very strong analytic and critical thinking skills · Clear writing and communication skills · Ability to collaborate and work within a team(s) · Detail and solutions oriented; ability to work through the details and translate the issues into business implications · Ability to work in a matrix managed environment Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, or MathematicsExperience · 3+ years hands-on experience building conceptual, logical and physical data models · 3+ years experience with ERWIN, CA All-Fusion, preferably including Model Mart  Company: Modis, Inc.
