Data Processing / Mailing Specialist
Primary Job Responsibilities
Prepare print files, postal paperwork, and other required data files for daily, weekly, and monthly mailings using SQL Server, specialty mailing software, and in-house custom programs.Develop processes and procedures for new mailings and data processing tasks as necessary.Create and maintain documentation on recurring mailings and data processing tasks.Work with Estimating, Sales, Customer Service, Scheduling, and Production staff to provide time estimates, co-ordinate schedules, and prepare production materials related to data processing.Maintain and provide and up-to-date schedules of data processing and mailing jobs to Whitehall Mailing Group.Develop and maintain computer programs that support mailing and data processing activities.Assist IT staff with troubleshooting general server and database related issues.Provide assistance to IT Manager on SOX-related IT requirements.
Required Job Skills and Abilities
Experience in mailing industry, specifically mail file preparation using any of the following software: BCC 2010, Accuzip, Mailers+4, ZipUSA.Experience working with data in Excel, Access, and Microsoft SQL Server, including data import/export, data formatting, data manipulation, and basic T-SQL querying.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience in programming in any of the following: Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic .NET, ASP, ASP.NET, C#, Crystal Reports, ADO, ADO.NET, SQL Server stored procedures.Experience installing and troubleshooting any of the following: Windows Server 2000/2003, SQL Server 2000/2005, IIS 5/6.
QualificationsAssociates degree or higher in computer-related field.2+ years working with data in Microsoft environment.1+ years programming in Microsoft environment.
