Apptis is looking for a Data and IP Technician to join our team at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida!

The Data and IP Technician will:Provide 24x5 on-site support to monitor and manage CENTCOM's data and IP networks. Perform pro-active monitoring of network elements, alarms, and alerts to identify those components/elements that may lead to or already are causing network degradation or failure. Accomplish this through use of network management tools and/or TNMA. Perform fault isolation and diagnostic/assessment functions to include determination and execution of corrective action(s) on real-time basis. Interface with functional users as well as DISA's TNCs. Maintain logs and records associated with reported problems or situations. Execute all reporting functions and data input associated with network management. Monitor security posture of network(s); report suspected violations to designated authority. Coordinate with configuration management and implementation entities to ensure optimum dissemination of information and network efficiency. Coordinate troubleshooting on Tier 1 and Tier 2 routers in the CENTCOM AOR; coordinate restoration actions and provide NetOps reporting to higher, peer, and subordinate NetOps Centers; analyze current performance data, identify issues for network analysis (performance, ASI, and outage); and coordinate with higher, peer, and subordinate NetOps Centers and units to optimize the data network. Analyze information requirements. Evaluate analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develops appropriate corrective action plans.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Systems, Systems Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Minimum of five years experience, of which at least three years must be specialized. Specialized experience includes: analytically solving problems of workflows, organization and planning.
