You will work with your manager to determine what skills you need and how to build them. Job Description: People within the Client Operations-IO workgroup are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients. Client Operations is where the majority of Services people reside and, typically, people in the workgroup are based permanently at a client location. Infrastructure Outsourcing (IO) is the ongoing management and/or improvement of activities related to a part or to the whole of a technical infrastructure (eg information systems, security systems, and telecommunications networks), allowing companies to focus on their core business and competencies. The Database Architect/Administrator will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s enterprise Oracle database architecture, making sure the client’s strategic goals are optimized through the use of enterprise data standards. The DBA performs all functions directly impacting the setup, configuration, or maintenance of the Oracle databases. The DBA will:  Assist with the technical leadership of the organization's database environments through development and support of enterprise database and data delivery infrastructure.   Adhere to and promote established standards and best practices, implement new technology and help actualize the long-term IT strategy for database technology. Responsibilities May Include: As a Database Architect:  Work with the customer, end users, technical architect, and application designers to define the data requirements and structure of the company’s application. Review the Enterprise Data Model, gaining an understanding of the data and their representation within the company. Model and design application data structure, storage, and integration. Lead the database analysis, design, and build effort.   Ensure that the database designs fulfill the requirements, including data volume, frequency needs, and long-term data growth. As a Database Administrator: Generate, configure, and optimize the performance of the databases. Support the efforts of the test lead and deployment lead to plan, manage, and deploy the application. Operate and support the database. Gather requirements, learn application process flows, and understand how applications should integrate with other applications in the enterprise Design and document conceptual and logical data models; and ensure that these are updated with changes during throughout the application life cycle. Qualifications  Basic Qualifications:   Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL (Microsoft SQL Server 7 and up) Minimum of 4 years of experience with RDBMS  Minimum of 3 years of experience in Relational Data modeling in at least 4 of the following: -  Database Security -  Advanced Database concepts (Replication, mirroring, clustered technology, partitioning, others) -  MSSQL Reporting Services -  MSSQL SSIS -  MSSQL Business Intelligence Preferred Skills:  Oracle DB skills in an Oracle Applications environment (HRMS, Financials, etc.) Oracle 8, 91, 10g and up Knowledge on Emerging Database Technologies Knowledge on Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture and implementation Ability to read and tun PL/SQL Statements Oracle database tooks and development tool set Windows workstation, Microsoft Office suite of products Minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Warehousing  Minimum of 2 years of experience with at least one of the following-  Reporting-  Analytics-  adCube Design  Interest in and enthusiasm towards database architecture and data modeling Ability to develop or revise the database architecture as new data requirements arise Ability to develop and manage all aspects of the data effort, including the plans, interdependencies, schedule, budget, tools, and required personnel for developing the database Ability to convert data and related techniques to acquire data needed to support testing, training, and other application development activities Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards Ability to document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks, escalating them as needed Business Objects or similar work experience Professional Skills Required:  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Excellent spoken and written communications skills Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to work in a dynamic team environment, and to interact with resources from technical and non-technical organizations Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision Ability to multi-task well and prioritize accordingly Ability to build strong relationships with teammates and clients Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company.
