Database / Networking Manager

Surgical Monitoring Associates (SMA) is one of the oldest, most established leaders in the field of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring and is recognized nationally and internationally as the premiere private practice of it's kind in the USA.

Headquartered in Springfield, PA we are searching for a Database / Networking Manager to join our team.  This position manages all of the functions of IT, clinical data management, and biomedical equipment.  You will be responsible for all clinical database maintenance and enhancements, integrity of all clinical data, and document management/storage solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for small business network environment and all hardware/software issues.  You will interface directly with hospitals to maintain, develop and implement IT solutions required for delivery of our services and remote system management and connectivity issues.  Candidate will participate in future R&D for products that will assist our organization to run more effectively. 

Must have at least 3 years of experience supporting IT applications and data integrity initiatives in a healthcare setting.  Experience with relational database management systems including but not limited to MS ACCESS is required.  Programming experience using C/C++ is required.  Strong EXCEL experience is required (including macros).  Experience with data extraction tools are a plus.  Experience setting up and maintaining a small business networking environment which includes MS Exchange, VPN and proxy servers is required.  Experience supporting small business software applications including but not limited to MS Office Suite is required. Knowledge of medical billing software is a plus but not required. 

The ideal candidate that has worked in a healthcare setting will also have knowledge of healthcare work flow and business processes regarding patient data.  Must have prior experience managing people, and multiple projects and initiatives.  Must be self motivated, forward thinking and be able to troubleshoot autonomously.  May be required to travel up to 25%.
