Database Systems Analyst

We are looking for a Database Systems Analyst to join our Hosting team.  The Database Systems Analyst provides assists with database installations, patches and upgrades for our hosted customers, while also providing continual analysis and technical resolution of technical issues for assigned customer base.

 

Duties include:

 Analyzing and managing the resolution of technical issues among assigned customer base;Assisting with database installs, patches, and upgrades for different Tomax Retail.net software products;Working with technical experts to analyze and troubleshoot a broad range of issues relating to Oracle, Java and Web applications;Performing data analysis, testing and software configurations of customer environments;Analyzing trends associated with assigned customer base and reporting potential problems or areas needing improvement;Conducting periodic status checks with customers and team members to assess progress and customer satisfaction;Prioritizing numerous issues of varying severity and effectively managing the resolution of all issues within accepted service levels; andDocumenting processes and troubleshooting guides for internal and external customer use.

 

The successful candidate must have the following:

 5+ years experience in a similar role;Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related area;Experience with PL/SQL and/or CRON;Experience with UNIX or Linux;Experience with Oracle technologies strongly preferred;Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; andAbility to work well in a team environment.
