Summary:

The Desktop Specialist will provide telephone and desktop support to faculty and staff relating to hardware, connectivity, and various software applications. Thoroughly documents all calls incoming and/or outgoing as well as information pertaining to all desktop visits into the appropriate call-tracking medium. Documentation includes a clearly defined description of the problem, complete troubleshooting steps, necessary equipment information and a complete description of the resolution. Escalates problems to appropriate support groups based on the established SLA guidelines.  Assists in troubleshooting and notification of system problems.  Develops and delivers training sessions for ISCS personnel.  Participates in projects as necessary.  Provides reports and statistical analysis upon request.

 

Position requires the following:

“MUSTS” (position requires the following skills/experience):4-6 yrs tier1 Help Desk and tier2 Desktop technical support experienceExperience supporting users on PC’s, Macs, MS Apps, and Lotus Notes – both onsite and over the phoneAbility to multitask and have a flexible schedule as Call Center hours include evenings and Saturdays

 

“PLUSES” (the following skills/experience highly desired):A+ certification highly desiredMicrosoft product certification highly desired
