Desktop Support Specialist is accountable for the response and diagnosis of end-user support calls. Support calls require problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up. The Specialist reports all activities in "help-desk" queue, including asset tracking and installs appropriate hardware and software as requested. This individual will be accountable for support calls intermediate to complex in nature, and must provide accurate and creative solutions. Must be able to recognize more complex problems and escalate to senior support personnel or management to expedite resolution. All situations require a high degree of professionalism and timeliness while meeting or exceeding customer expectations and service level commitments.

Responsibilities :

Provide Desktop Support for various operating systems including Windows XP and Vista. Install, maintain and troubleshoot desktop, laptop and printer hardware and software. Provide remote support for external desktop laptop and Smartphone connections via VPN, wireless, broadband. Candidate should be able to troubleshoot and resolve network TCP/IP problems. PC hardware/software, server hardware and latest operating systems, network connectivity and communications.

 Qualifications:

 1 -2 years experience in a desktop support capacityMust be able to respond quickly, competently and patiently with end user clients. Excellent communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills are a must.Certification in A+, MCP, or MCSE, is a plus.
