Desktop Support Coordinator

The Firm is seeking a Desktop Support Coordinator for our Pittsburgh location.  This position provides support for our Pittsburgh and Ohio locations, delivers clear concise technical solutions in a timely fashion on Windows based applications: MS Office related (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel), Extranet, DTE, Tumbleweed; remote access including: Blackberry, Verizon PDA’s, OWA, and Citrix; traditional PBX and voice over IP phone systems; as well as first level server support including backups, installing patches, updating security, adding users, maintaining distribution lists, on site support for telecommunication vendors.

 

The successful candidate possesses a valid driver’s license and car, as travel is required; excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical and problem solving skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; strong professional communication skills including excellent oral and written skills; good knowledge of networking protocols and components within a corporate WAN; is self-motivated, able to multi-task, respond to potential problems promptly and take appropriate corrective action, proactive in research and maintenance as they are essential for a well maintained support environment and is assertive while being tactful and diplomatic.  Networking experience in a Microsoft environment, preferably in a law firm or financial institution setting.  Microsoft Certifications are preferred.
