Desktop Support Technician

SofTec I.T. L.L.C. has an outstanding long term, multi year contract position in Longview, TX for someone with the following skills and work experience:

Duties:

Desktop Support of PCs and laptops.  Installation and support of peripherals; PDAs, printers, scanners (flat & barcode), backups upgrades, a lot of troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.  Testing new software and devices.  Network troubleshooting and installation, hardware replacement, network printer support, keeping inventory, be able to lift at least 50 pounds need to have excellent people and communication skills, be able to walk someone through steps over phone.

Deal with tech support, vendors, and users.

Additional duties:
Telephone support on PBX phone systems (do not need to know but must be willing and able to learn), punch down network and phone jacks, work with radios, cell phones and pagers.  Basically will be backup to the phone support on site. Any experience with the following would be quite helpful:
Nortel--- LAN and voice,Legato,Sharepoint,I-Pass wireless,Home connectivity with private network,2003 Dell server, Pie,Access Development and WAFF
