COMSYS is looking for a Senior .Net Developer / Architect for a MAJOR client in St. Louis. This is a great work environment with long term contracts. Individuals within this group are assigned to .Net development projects to implement and maintain applications to support business operations across the enterprise. Some of the business areas include - Sales & Marketing, HR, Finance, Admin, Packaging, Purchasing & Brewery, Logistics and Entertainment Division. The candidate would be directly responsible for supporting applications and the underlying infrastructure.Primary Responsibilities1) Design, programming, unit testing and deployment of applications using the Microsoft .Net application environment.2) Work with Business Analyst, Application Architect, Data Architect, and Project Manager to estimate work.3) Work with testing resources to effectively test code and resolve issues.4) Assist with documenting requirements (or other project documentation) as needed; includes collaborative meetings with customers.Required General Skills1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at multiple levels, including: programmers, non-technical project managers, business analysts, and customers. Capable of transferring knowledge to existing staff.2) Must be a self-starter, work well in a team environment, and be able to work with minimal direction. Must display flexibility and initiative. Ability to quickly learn multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment.3) Minimum 6 years software development experience, with majority of recent experience with Microsoft development technologies. Including, experience with full life-cycle system delivery methodologies, PM concepts and basic IT principles.4) Experienced in developing and supporting large scale, corporate business applications. Analysis and design skills for multi-platform applications (web based, client server).5) Strong problem solving & analytical skills for Client/Server & web-based applications. Must demonstrate effective organizational skills, demonstrated by ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, & be attentive to detail.Required Technical Skills1) Developer-.NET C# - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.Should have good working knowledge and practical development experience using C# and/or VB. Expect additional expertise with Microsoft development tools, but must have significant, recent experience with VB, C#, ASP .NET, Net 2.0 and 3.0 Frameworks.2) Analyst-Application Development - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.Experience w/development efforts using n-tier distributed systems using .Net. Experience w/development best practices (e.g. build management, source control, design/code reviews, unit testing); experience w/Team Foundation Server preferred.3) Experience developing with Microsoft SQL Server Databases. - Expert with 4 year(s) experience.Particular focus on development, maintenance and tuning of Stored Procedures.4) Object Oriented analysis, design and development. - Intermediate with 4 year(s) experience.Must show a good understanding of OO concepts and have practical experience in applying these concepts on multiple projects.Preferred Technical Skills1) Familiarity with unit testing using NUnit - Novice with 1 year(s) experience.2) Ability to troubleshoot errors on multiple platforms. - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.3) Developer-.NET VB - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.Experience with .Net VB considered a plus.4) Developer-Java - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.Experience with Java considered a plus.
