Flextronics’ strengthened global presence and increased resources provide enhanced design and engineering solutions that are vertically integrated with manufacturing, logistics, and component technologies to optimize customer operations by lowering costs and reducing time to market.   Purpose: Flextronics has more than 20 Service Centers around the world supporting several business models and warehousing requirements including Direct Fulfillment, Reverse Logistics, Supplier Management Inventory (SMI) and Service Parts. This position is responsible for Designing the application architecture and implementing the software solutions that will:   ·  Build a world-class Services capability to enable the success of the Services organization ·  Support the Services community by architecting efficient, sustainable, repeatable, cost effective solutions ·  Provide architecture & solutions that will enable: o Efficient and scalable warehouse operations o Efficient and scalable planning solutions o Efficient and scalable integrations with ERP & MES applications o Repeatable implementations to drive cost reductions and compatability o Improvements in planning efficiencies and inventory visibility o Improved reliability and accuracy of application (warehousing) data o Manage transition from legacy warehouse solutions to new solutions Principle Accountabilities: Design Architecture   ·  Establish core Architecture for Warehouse management platform for the Services Organization to include o Core warehousing functionality o Labor Management o Transportation Management o Project Management o Interface management to: §  ERP systems §  Financial controls & systems §  MES systems §  Planning systems §  Interfaces to customer systems o Applictaion Transparency of End to end solution for core business models ·  Design and maintain standard core models for each key business model – Drive: o Reusability o Common process adoption o Efficiency of processes o Supportable solutions ·  Build scalable Solutions interfacing with Applications driving by the core WMS system, Red Prairie ·  Work with the Services group in establishing standard end-to-end processes and tools ·  Align with Flextronics IT Infrastructure team for hardware standards             Project & Solution Management   ·  Management of project portfolio ensuring delivery of solutions on time, and on budget that satisfy customer requirements ·  Actively working with engineering leadership and segment IT leads to deliver prioritized requirements to the business ·  Proactively driving o Resuability of standard processes o Challenges to deviation from standard o Corrective actions on any non conformances ·  Ensure project specifications and success criteria’s are met ·  Utilize process re-engineering to ensure efficient solutions are developed ·  Drive organization towards adoption of Agile software development methodologies   Organizational Management   ·  Establish an effective organization that leverages resources located throughout the world ·  Develop Centers of Excellence (COE) within the organization to facilitate collaboration effectiveness with the teams ·  Management of the resource pipeline in terms of employee development & organizational structure ·  Development of personnel – coaching & mentoring ·  Talent selection, retention & removal ·  Ensuring that defined policies are being followed and taking the necessary action for non compliance ·  Focused on the strategy of the company (growth and capabilities) and planning the structure of the group and application capabilities to meet the business challenges   Service Management   ·  Align with different Flextronics organizations (Services, Flex1, etc) to deliver optimal, prioritized solutions ·  Maintain alignment to broader Services community ·  Work with business counterparts to establish service requirements for solutions. ·  Requirements will include availability, data quality and latency, responsiveness of break/fix and application response times ·  Ensure necessary training materials are available for applications developed ·  Work with infrastructure and operational teams to review metric performance to drive improvement actions ·  Supplier management – ensure a QBR process occurs on a quarterly basis for significant software and 3rd party service providers as appropriate   Financials   ·  Maintain accurate cost forecasts ·  Ensure that expenditures are justified, forecasted and met ·  Proactively review alternate ways to reduce cost without sacrificing quality ·  Variance analysis and driving corrective actions on deviations Qualifications: ·  Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Systems or equivalent. ·  MBA and/or Masters degrees preferred ·  Exposure to services environment and the technical requirements associated with these complex business models ·  Broad understanding of warehousing and planning tools to support logistics in a varied and global environment ·  Experience in systems / applications interfacing ·  Experience in Warehouse Management and Logistics solutions ·  Experience in Planning management solutions ·  5 – 10 years of domain knowledge on Interfacing Warehouse Management and ERP systems ·  5 – 10 years of domain knowledge desiging multiple applications solutions ·  Program and Project management experience in systems implementation and application management. ·  Deep understanding of development best practices (SDLC, Xtreme, etc) ·  Good understanding of IT infrastructure (server, network, desktop) ·  Must have strong budget & risk management skills. ·  Domain knowledge in one or more of the following - manufacturing, planning,
