Director Data Center Operations

Position Summary: Go Daddy is seeking a Director of Operations for our Data Centers.  The ideal candidate will be well-versed in data center operational best practices, policies, procedures and standards.  We are seeking a candidate with a comprehensive and proven leadership of large mission critical Data Center operations. This position reports to the VP of Operations.Primary Responsibilities:  Responsible for all operations within the Data Centers Create and implement operational policies and procedures utilizing your knowledge of Data Center Operations Best Practices Develop, measure against and meet Key Performance Indicators Accurately forecast growth and capacity for both hardware and data center facilities Directs the development and/or enhancement of procedures and/or methodologies to achieve optimum performance Assists with the establishment of internal controls and monitors activities of unit to ensure operating quality Maintain accurate inventory levels and place orders as necessary Conduct staff performance evaluations, training and development, career planning, goal settings, and determining project objectives Coordinate with internal and external resources to complete tasks for pre-determined timelines Ensures that service level agreements are met Requirements: · 10 years work experience in Information Technology and 5 years in a data center management role· Experience managing high volume, multi-site data centers· Some local travel involved, as you will be responsible for Data Center Operations in multiple valley locations· Ability to manage and motivate team members to produce quality deliverables while meeting project deadlines.· Demonstrated ability to communicate and work collaboratively with all levels of technical and professional staff, and senior IT management.· Ability to identify opportunities to enhance workflow efficiency· Ability to achieve results by effectively communicating with other groups· Project management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple teams with multiple assignments Knowledge of large data center facilities management including power and cooling design and floor space management.
