This position is responsible for supporting the Design Environment needs that will:   ·  Build a world-class PLM platform that enables the success of Design operations ·  Support the Design and Manufacturing Community with access to the right Design/Manufacturing/Test tools in a cost effective manner ·  Provide solutions that will enable: o Faster Design-To-Manufacturing times o Reduction in manufacturing costs o Improved reliability, including manufacturing and field o Improved procurability o Visibility and leverage of Flextronics engineering knowledge Design Operations Practice   ·  Establish and maintain a PLM Platform for the Design, Manufacturing and the Operations community including: o Design Data o Manufacturing Data o Reliability Data o Project Management ·  Build scalable DFx Framework and Applications ·  Work with the Design Teams in establishing standard end-to-end design processes and tools ·  Align with Flextronics IT Infrastructure team for hardware standards ·  Manage availability of Design/Manufacturing/Test Tools on a global basis ensuring maximum utilization amongst the user base in different regions ·  Ensure 5 * 24 support for Tools/Solutions/PLM services   Project & Portfolio Management   ·  Management of project portfolio ensuring delivery of solutions on time, and on budget that satisfy customer requirements ·  Actively working with engineering leadership and segment IT leads to deliver prioritized requirements to the business ·  Proactively driving corrective actions on any non conformances ·  Ensure project specifications and success criteria’s are met ·  Utilize process re-engineering to ensure efficient solutions are developed ·  Drive organization towards adoption of Agile software development methodologies       Organizational Management   ·  Establish an effective organization that leverages resources located throughout the world ·  Develop Centers of Excellence (COE) within the organization to facilitate collaboration effectiveness with the teams ·  Management of the resource pipeline in terms of employee development & organizational structure ·  Development of personnel – coaching & mentoring ·  Talent selection, retention & removal ·  Ensuring that defined policies are being followed and taking the necessary action for non compliance ·  Focused on the strategy of the company (growth and capabilities) and planning the structure of the group and application capabilities to meet the business challenges   Service Management   ·  Align with different Flextronics organizations (engineering, materials, operations) to deliver optimal, prioritized solutions ·  Maintain alignment to Engineering Leadership Council (ELC) ·  Work with business counterparts to establish service requirements for solutions. ·  Requirements will include availability, data quality and latency, responsiveness of break/fix and application response times ·  Ensure necessary training materials are available for applications developed ·  Work with infrastructure and operational teams to review metric performance to drive improvement actions ·  Supplier management – ensure a QBR process occurs on a quarterly basis for significant software and 3rd party service providers as appropriate   Financials   ·  Maintain accurate cost forecasts ·  Ensure that expenditures are justified, forecasted and met ·  Proactively review alternate ways to reduce cost without sacrificing quality ·  Variance analysis and driving corrective actions on deviations     Qualifications: ·  Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Sstems or equivalent. ·  MBA and/or Masters degrees preferred ·  Exposure to complete product life cycle from concept through design, mfg, test and service ·  Broad understanding of Applications in the MCAD/ECAD/CIM/PLM space and the technologies used to manage, develop and deploy across an organization ·  Experience in Centralized Software License Management and Deployment for Global users ·  5 – 10 years of domain knowledge on Design and PLM systems ·  5 – 10 years of domain knowledge on managing large scale software development projects ·  Experience in defining strategic planning in the eningeering applications space ·  Program and Project management experience in systems implementation and application management. ·  Deep understanding of development best practices (SDLC, Xtreme, etc) ·  Good understanding of IT infrastructure (server, network, desktop) ·  Must have strong budget & risk management skills. ·  Domain knowledge in one or more of the following - manufacturing, materials, design, financials ·  Ability to work with and understand business processes and systems.Click here to apply for this job http://flextronics.ats.hrsmart.com/cgi-bin/pm/click.cgi?job_id=8183&site_id=123
