Position Overview
The Director will drive all software product marketing initiatives including new product feature/function planning and roadmap creation. He/she will also drive the client services program that includes standardization of client service deliverables to ensure high-quality results. This position will report to the General Manager of Software.
Responsibilities and Duties Product Marketing and Positioning: Work closely with product teams and sales to define key selling propositions that will translate into all sales & marketing materials, client communications and pricing initiatives. Includes software and services product launch planning and execution. Sales Support: Work to provide sales templates, presentations, on-line webinars and proposals arming sales with relevant information to help shorten sales cycle. Intellectual Capital: Drive SIMCO’s “expert” status in the market through speakers’ initiatives, whitepaper development, Workshops, and core marketing communications outreach. Professional Services: Ensure appropriate best practices, training, sales support materials and scheduling for Software Client Services engineers. Manage all aspects of Client Services deployment and follow-through sales initiatives. Maintain and evolve Client Services standards and procedures, including the development of Technical Implementation templates, customer training courses and ownership of both the opportunity assessment process. Sales Communications: Communicate professional services ROI and support, product upgrades, deficiencies and roadmap to sales and customers. Planning: Develop Strategic and tactical plans detailing product line positioning, development resourcing requirements, product line packaging, pricing, configuration steps, customer training and sales targeting information. Communications: Coordinate with Engineering Managers, Technical Architects, Legal and Sales to develop premiere technical proposals for Client Services opportunities.

Qualifications 5+ years of industry experience, including management positions within marketing and/or Client Services or Professional Service departments 3+ years technical marketing and/or product management experience Direct experience managing 2-5 employee Professional/Engineering professionals. Demonstrated success in creating and supporting winning software products Proven background of addressing customers and customer needs MBA, Bachelors or Master Science in computer science or similar discipline Fluent in strategic and tactical marketing Strong written and verbal communication skills; technical and business writing abilities are a must
