Job Category:Finance Director Primary Location:USA-VA: VIRGINIA-FALLS CHURCHSchedule:Full-time Job Type:Regular Employee Status:Regular No Job Posting: 05/08/2008Description: CSC's Corporate Planning and Analysis Department in Falls Church, VA is searching for a Director of Planning and Analysis as a result of CSC's Corporate Office relocation from El Segundo, CA to Falls Church, VA!The Director of Planning and Analysis manages CSC's budget/forecast process, provides senior management with analytical and other support and assists in the financial and managerial reportingRef4449Essential Job Functions Manages the consolidation and analysis of CSC's semi-annual budget/forecast Supervises and performs ad hoc financial and accounting research and analysis Supervises Hyperion and SAP Business Warehouse Corporate powerusers Supervises the government accounting function for the Corporate Office Assists in the company's financial and managerial reporting and provides senior management with analytical and other support Maximizes the effectiveness and efficiency of CSC's financial planning, accounting, reporting and analysis, and thus improving management's ability to maximize shareholder value Demonstrated ability to contribute to the improvement of our financial systems and processes, understand and support the achievement of our business challenges, and build strong relationships with both Corporate Office and business unit personnel Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience required Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Master's degree in related field preferred Fourteen or more years of related experience CPA and or MBA a strong plus Experience working with concepts, practices, and procedures in areas of responsibility Experience working the management implications of various forms of financial data Nine or more years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity included Knowledge of financial concepts, analytical techniques and US GAAP Exposure to treasury and taxation issues a plus Information technology services industry experience a plusOther Qualifications Strong communication and relationship building skills required, including ability to interface with executive management (CEO, COO, CFO) Must have skill and confidence to articulate solutions to financial and business challenges Strong strategic management and planning skills Strong background in common desktop applications Demonstrated experience and ability in managing the use of finance/accounting applications and experience with Hyperion Enterprise and SAP a plus Ability to effectively supervise a staff and guide their professional development Ability to publicly represent company with internal and external clients Ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution Must demonstrate an ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities Must be willing to be a hands-on manager in a lean department Must be effective in a team-oriented environment Must be willing to travel during the period of knowledge transfer from El Segundo, CA to Falls Church, VA Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:None Create Success
