Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Director, Program Governance & Standards for the Office of the CIO – EPMO department. The Director, Program Governance & Standards is responsible for directing the establishment, maintenance, and innovation of standards, methodologies, processes, and procedures in support of MIS project management, MIS business processes and procedures, and MIS developed applications. Additionally, this position also directs the development and maintenance of critical governance command and control procedures that enable consistency and visibility across the MIS project portfolio and in the project management discipline.
Responsibilities:
Position will direct the development and maintenance of standards, methodologies, process and procedures in support of MIS project management, MIS business processes and procedures, and MIS developed applications, including process documentation, policies and procedures documentation, application user guides, reference guides, and training materials.
Direct the development and maintenance of the standards, processes and procedures associated with MIS, OCIO, EPMO, and Project Management information delivery, including website strategy, development and delivery.
Direct all EPMO Governance activities including establishment, and execution, of processes and procedures to review and evaluate projects on compliance to standards, performance to plan (metrics and scorecard reporting), and relevance of business case.
Direct the instantiation of the MIS Enterprise Document Management system (EDOCS) including associated policies, communication, training, development of compliance measurements and metrics, and the associated governance.
Direct the on-going evaluation and analysis of methodologies, processes and procedures to continue to leverage from each implementation – build on lessons learned and ensure they are replicated.
Look for areas to Leverage MIS and industry expertise and best practices/tools.
Provide leadership in coaching projects on standard methodologies processes and procedures.
Manage team development to achieve goals; coaching and performance management.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree required. MBA or equivalent relevant professional experience preferred.
5-7 years experience driving a large work group and decisions in a matrix-reporting environment. Must have 2-4 years demonstrated success in leadership positions. Must have experience working in a PMO structure and in developing and implementing software development lifecycle structures (SDLC), project management methodologies, processes and procedures, and governance controls.
Must have prior experience in setting standards and methods for measurement (scorecards). Training experience preferred.
Leadership abilities as well as good interpersonal and communications skills. Knowledge of business cycles to effectively plan implementations.
Experience with Business Process change and information systems methodology.
Experience working across organizational lines to achieve creative solutions.
Demonstrate team work by sharing credit with co-workers; displaying enthusiasm and promoting a friendly group working environment; work closely with other departments as necessary; support group decisions and solicit opinions from co- workers.
Strong communication skills are required as well as the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
