Description

The Director, Sales East will provide leadership to the GXS North Americas East Sales team.  The Director will provide leadership and guidance to sales reps to help drive new business/revenue through consultative selling into established and new accounts in the Eastern region of the US. Must possess the ability to develop and implement territory plans which will exceed revenue goals. Develop a target list and be able to utilize corporate resources to identify and close key opportunities. Be able to develop strategic relationships at the executive level, negotiate contracts and stay current on new e-business technologies.

 

Requirements

·  Bachelors or equivalent experience required.

·  12+ years of sales experience, five or more years of sales management experience.

·  Strong business/sales acumen coupled with a sound understanding of B2B Integration technologies.

·  Excellent oral and written communications skills at both executive and employee level.

·  Strong problem solving, presentation and organizational skills.

·  Excellent customer skills.

·  Independent, self-starter with excellent matrix management skills.

·  Comfortable dealing with technical and contractual issues.

·  Strong team player.

 

 

Additional Details

·  Ideal candidate will have strong customer relationships and C level contacts in the assigned territory and accounts. 

·  Travel required throughout assignment territory.
