Director, Technology Services

Join a stable and growing organization as a Director of Technology Services.  This individual will work with the VP of Information Services to develop the Company’s strategic and tactical plans.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the execution of the Company’s strategic and tactical plans.Establish and maintain high standards for methodologies, best practices and documentation of system development, support, and management (business analysis, project management and system services management).Assure alignment between client expectations and results delivered by Company.Build and grow the infrastructure of talent, expertise, and leadership within Company.Assure the success of the team through leadership, providing direction and maintaining Company culture.Manage budget.Identify and manage appropriate staffing levels for System Services and PMO.Partner with the VP to align Company and its resources with the business needs of Company.Provide effective communications to and from Company.Assure minimal disruption in day-to-day operations of Company’s systems.Provide leadership to senior team leads along with other team members as necessary.Facilitate the development of team members and mentor when applicable.Foster and maintain a positive environment of continuous learning, personal leadership development, striving for excellence, awareness of multiple perspectives, and synergistic solutions.Provide necessary updates and information to VP and the “business” as necessary.Conduct reviews and staff evaluations along with development plans.Manage outsourcing efforts where appropriate and necessary.Create and nurture relationships with various business units.Execution of projects per expectations providing status to VP.Partner with VP on strategic projects.Manage expectations around projects regarding resource availability, product functionality and timing of implementation.This is not an all-inclusive list of the duties required of this position.

Required Skills: 10 years experience in Information Technology with 5 years of experience directing other leadership positions.  2 years experience with developing and managing relationships with various service providers.Experience supervising outside resources. Familiarity with project management. Familiarity with Information Technology systems and the skills to maintain them.Familiarity with software development methodologies and resources. Architectural experience with technical and application based areas.4 year degree or comparable experience.
