Director of Business Development – BI

 

Location:  Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI

Reports to:  Chief Executive Officer

Arrangement:Full-Time Salaried Employee

Travel:  Up to 100%

 

The Director of Business Development has primary responsibility for new business development for SilverTrain.  This individual is a key member of our professional services team and is directly responsible for selling our advisory services and Business Intelligence (BI) consulting services and solutions within all industry verticals.

 

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

· Achieve sales goals for assigned region/industry.

· Identify prospects, generate leads, contact prospects, assist in developing proposals, coordinate and organize networking events, and participate in all aspects of the sales process.

· Work closely with the Practice Leaders and Marketing to develop and implement an effective Sales and Marketing strategy to increase business.

· Develop a productive business relationship between clients and SilverTrain.

· Manage sales operations to ensure quality and strong client loyalty by assisting Engagement Managers and Practice Leaders in managing the total client experience.

 

Position Requirements:

· 10+ year experience selling professional services to mid-size and large firms (full life cycle IT projects and strategic advisory services).

· Proven track record producing revenues in the $3M+ per year range.

· Experience interacting with Senior Management and CXO's of clients and prospects.

· Strong sales management ability.

· Industry contacts and references.

· Experience selling Business Intelligence services and solutions.

· A self-starter able to create revenue independently and in a team environment.

· An entrepreneurial individual who thrives on building and growing a successful and dynamic practice.

· Ability to sell and demonstrate the value of complex consulting solutions.

· High degree of communication, rational persuasion, and influencing and negotiating skills.

· A willingness and ability to travel.

· BA/BS, MBA preferred.
