Director of IP Transit

POSITION PURPOSE:

 

This position will focus on selling IP Transit, collocation, and managed hosting services to clients in need of large volumes of bandwidth.  Additional CDN and credit card services may be sold in conjunction to assist these clients with their internet traffic.  The ideal candidate will be able to quickly identify potential customers and markets and create sound sales strategies, and follow through, to capture these customers and markets.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Ability to establish, develop and maintain a working relationship with key account clients.

· This position requires occasional out of town trips.

· Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

· Keep informed of company and departmental policies.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· 2-3 years of experience with IP transit, collocation, and managed hosting services.

· Advanced understanding of internet infrastructure and e-commerce protocols.

· Logical and well thought out decision making skills.

· Successful outside sales experience preferably in the technology, internet, or online media related businesses.

· Established client base preferred.

· Well organized and capable of multitasking.

· Ability to be self-motivated and exhibit a high degree of professionalism.

· Demonstrated ability to handle high levels of stress.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer.

· Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.

· Ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees/management.
