Director of Sales & Marketing

GlobalNet Services, Inc. (GNSI), a dynamic Information Technology company, has a challenging opportunity for a Director of Sales and Marketing.  This position reports to the CIO and is responsible for conducting marketing activities directed toward long-term opportunities associated with commercial and federal, state, and local government agencies.

Essential Functions: Desired candidate will have senior level experience within government and commercial IT sectors and must have proven experience in growing solutions sales to government accounts.Successful candidate will focus on selling application development, systems integration, business intelligence, and search solutions working with GNSI partners (i.e., Microsoft, Google, Citrix) to meet sales objectives.Manages the marketing, identification, qualification, capture, and bid of all new business opportunities.Develops and manages successful client relationships.  Understands clients' business goals and proactively identifies opportunities to meet them.Identifies and participates in marketing events such as trade shows and seminars that support market growth objectives.Collaborates with management to develop advertising and marketing collateral that supports specific products and marketing objectives.Identifies and qualifies prospective teaming partners.

 

Experience and Skills:Substantial network of senior level contacts within various commercial firms and government agencies at the federal and state/local level.Experience building and/or growing company sales/marketing infrastructure.Solid technical background with experience marketing software/hardware solutions.Excellent analytical, presentation and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with strong leadership skillsOutstanding verbal and written, as well as interpersonal communication skills

Education or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required.  MBA Preferred.10 years of progressively advanced experience in sales and marketing to commercial, federal, and state/local government.
