Disaster Recovery Consultant

Under the direction of a Project Manager and in consonance with a team of application and infrastructure experts, develop Disaster Recovery (DR) plans for engineering computing assets that is integrated with IS and business processes and procedures. Provide guidance and leadership on the decisions and factors that influence the DR program. Plan, document, and execute tests to verify and ensure the effectiveness of the DR plan.Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related fieldBasic Qualifications:Minimum 7 years IT experienceMinimum 3-5 years hands on Disaster Recovery planning experienceKnowledge - Skills - Abilities:- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues.- Innovative thinker with the ability to exercise independent judgment, explore alternatives, recommend outcomes and establish courses of action.- Experience in information technology planning, information availability procedures development and administration, and technology assessment.- Experience administering Windows and Unix (HP-UX and Linux) servers in WAN/LAN environment a plus.- Experience planning, implementing, and administering backup and recovery solutions.
