Disaster Recovery Manager

BS degree required Primary Duties: Manages the disaster recovery and business continuity strategy and planning of organizational Information systems and the administration, maintenance, development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures that ensure quality assurance of emergency plans. Manages the implementation of emergency processes and procedures, designs data access methods for emergency situations. Defines educational strategy and planning for IT staff. Identifies points of vulnerability in the company and develops disaster avoidance and reduction strategies. Develops departmental business continuity plans and establishes recovery strategies for all critical applications. Establishes agreements with outside vendors that would provide critical services during a disaster situation. Conducts training and education and assists with risk assessment initiatives. Participates in industry forums to maintain current knowledge

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree in related field and at least 7 years of experience managing Disaster Recovery strategy, planning, policy and process improvements in a similar size organization. Strong management experience and skills are required. Computer Science degree is required. Excellent organizational, decision making, human relations and communication skills. Ability to facilitate teams, manage large scale projects, and demonstrate concensus decision making. Experience managing large enterprise disaster preparedness solutions preferably in a healthcare environment. Emphasis on communication skills to promote and enhance disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for the organization.
