E-Commerce Product Marketing Specialist

One of my clients in Chicago is seeking a Product Marketing Specialist to help them implement and maintain e-commerce solution, communicate effectively with their large customer, market the internet and other e-commerce services.

Provides full life cycle planning to ensure the alignment of information systems to corporate strategy.  Works with other Business Analysts and IS management to translate corporate direction into an Information Systems road map from which programs and projects are derived.  Communicates and advises IS management and business partners on company strategic vision and direction changes.  Facilitates business process improvements and conflict resolution across multiple projects and business functions.  

Collaborates with business process owners and users to capture business and user requirements, identify business impact and synergy activities.  Works with project managers to define skills, capabilities, costs and other resource requirements for idea, concept, development, rollout and acceptance phases.  Acts as interpreter and brings together client and IS team during the development, testing and implementation phases of all projects.  Shares the lead with business process owners in the successful implementation of programs and projects.  

 

Leads vendor contract and licensing negotiations, contracts and agreements.  Advises senior IS management, department managers, supervisors and project managers on an ongoing basis. Champions and follows a formal development methodology.  

 

Creates, assists and/or advises on the initial program plan, ROI documentation, project gate reviews, user documentation, project values, business requirement specifications, business acceptance criteria, rollout summary and other documentation.  

 

Leads the approval and publication phases of required documentation. Leads the effort to identify and initiate new major projects and works within IS to identify skills and capabilities required to accomplish department slate.  Significant time spent partnering with non-IS management to assist, advise and provide IS leadership in determining vision and business strategies.  Works primarily on largest, most complex or visible projects.  Supports more processes with multiple systems applications than products with single applications.  

 

Bachelors degree with an emphasis in business, technology or related field required.  Masters degree preferred.

Must have the business experience, knowledge and skills to communicate with senior management and the general user community – this role is the liaison to external customers using the e-commerce system.

Must have business process analysis and redesign skills and proven skills to author, promote, and present a financial business case.  Includes collection and capture of requirements and rollout the resulting software system to managers and users within the targeted business unit.  This includes project management knowledge and skills.
