After initial training, the position is located on Andros Island, Bahamas. Responsible for maintaining the Calibration's records, and verify that the Calibrations are performed competently, accurately and with the proper procedure and/or associated documents for the AUTEC Facility. AS/AA degree in electronics or equivalent. Specialized education in PMEL calibration is required either a military or civilian equivalent. Minimum five (5) years related experience working in a Military or Civilian with calibration type equipment with specific emphasis on solid state circuits' environment. Knowledge of specific electronic manufacturing type instruments is required such as knowledge of repair of Tektronix, Hewlett-Packard (Agilent), Fluke, General Radio, Wavetech and Simpson. Knowledge of physical device manufacturers is preferred such as King-Newtronics, Snap-on and Consolidated Devices. Knowledge of the calibration specification of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 (R2002) is preferred. Valid Drivers License and passport will be required.Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Windows and Excel. Lift heavy 50 pound objects occasionally.A minimal amount of work will be performed outdoors.Analytical to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.Detailed observations for calibrations being performed by associated lab technicians.Accuracy in record keeping is essential.Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a multi-cultural team-oriented environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
