View all Sungard Availability Services jobs Engagement Manager / PC4734 Position Description:Travel: Min-50% / Max-65%Manage information availability consulting engagements focusing on project delivery success factors: profitability, resources utilization, on-time, on-budget, and client satisfaction. Build and identify additional information availability engagement opportunities by fostering and expanding client relationships. Cultivate additional revenue opportunities and collaborate with sales force during sales cycle.Use the SunGard deployment process and delivery infrastructure to ensure successful engagements. During the project delivery lifecycle, the Engagement Manager develops and maintains project plans, determines staffing requirements, communicates status and issues, sets and manages client’s expectations, manages project scope and change, manages project resources, ensures the quality of work products, and maintains project work product repository. Ensure all project deliverables are archived and cataloged accurately. The Engagement Manager is a technical and business consulting professional, contributing to practice development and industry verticals.Project Delivery• Serve as primary focal point with client• Deliver consulting services on time, on budget, with focus on attaining high client satisfaction• Prepare fully developed project plans, resource requirements, schedules, and project baselines from Statements of Work (SOWs).• Comply with established service methodologies, and Project Management methodology, for engagement delivery• Minimize lag between signing of SOW and project kick-off of engagements.• Provide accurate and timely project status, and ensure project team is accurately recording project time and forecasts into ChangePoint • Maintain 100% realization rates for all resources on billable projects• Ensure Account Executive is updated on project statusPractice Development• Participate in the development or enhancement of service offerings, as directed by management• Identify and communicate add-on business opportunities on all engagements• Provide support to sales and sales support, where requested (e.g. training sessions, account planning, sales calls, project scoping, SOW development).• Develop and maintain relationships with SAS sales in region.• Participate in professional organizations & external activities (e.g. contribute to white papers, submit articles to publications, present to industry groups on field of expertise)Quality & Customer Satisfaction • Develop risk assessment profile for all projects• Ensure aggregate 4.0 or greater customer satisfaction score for all projects• Track/Resolve/Escalate issues with a sense of urgency.• Build effective client relationships which are referenceable, leading to add-on business • Comply with quality control program, and quality assurance methodologies• Perform post project reviews for purpose of continuously improving service offeringGeneral Project Management• Achieve target personal utilization of 65%• Comply with practice and financial schedules, procedures and directives (e.g. revenue processing, invoicing, customer satisfaction surveys, and forecasting).• Support practice areas and all regions to meet / exceed Professional Services revenue and profit goals• Mentor personnel on projects and monitor project performance.• Prepare project evaluations for project team members on a timely basisQualifications:Educational Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree (Business or Technical)• PMI- PMP certification preferred• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent Business Experience:• 5+ years relevant experience• Experience leading both people and projects in a Consulting environment.• 3-5 years in information availability business and technical acumen• Strong project financial/accounting capabilities• Significant client-facing responsibilities• Sales support in a team environmentTechnology Skills:• General technical knowledge and/or expertise in multiple areas of information systems technology (e.g. operating systems, networking software, databases, client/services computing, LAN, PC’s, etc.) • Experience in Information Technology strategy planning, information availability program development and administration, availability architecture design and technology assessment.• Knowledge of information availability architecture methodologies, Industry best practices and generally accepted information availability principles.
