Job Title: Engineering Manager   Job Code: RFCD04081082   Job Description:Responsible for the management of a radio hardware team, which will include: Managing a team of HW Circuit Design Engineers and HW Technologists Technical mentoring to junior Design Engineers Support in the resolution of technical problems Direction on project priorities Resolves workload conflictsAdditional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Technical Leadership for project/programs, reviewing the system level architecture, and act as the point of contact for all technical issues as they arise during system integration. Plan and encourage the personal development of all members of the department, through internal and external training programs, consistent with division training policies. Plan and manage annual budget for the project, identifying required capital expenditure and analyzing budget variances using EVMS. Generate periodic progress reports for Supervisor and Senior Management Responsible for cost estimating, and schedule generation for engineering developments Interacts within the company for all functional areas regarding product and system issues by: Maintaining regular contacts with senior level management on issues and concerns Interacts with customer management teams to ensure understanding of product and system specifications Interfacing with other appropriate departments within the company to ensure required actions are occurring  Qualification: BSEE or equivalent with focus on Communications or Systems Engineering with 10 years related experience in radio frequency technology or equivalent combination of technical experience and/or education 10 years project management experience relevant to radio communications equipment and systems 10 years in all aspects of advanced radio systems Recent verifiable working knowledge and experience with EVMS Preferred Additional Skills: Ability to manage and make trade-offs between recurring cost, budget and schedule.
