ENTERPRISE LICENSE SPECIALIST



POSITION DESCRIPTION – Essential Job Functions:  Perform all logistics responsibilities and objectives for customer Software Enterprise License Management, Inventory Management, and the Information Technology/Information Services (IT/IS) Teams.  Maintain a current, complete, and accurate library of various software vendors, their products, licensing agreements, and related support programs to support the needs of government agency and their customers.  Coordinate and maintain cost effective efforts of Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) licensed software CD reproduction and customer delivery process.  Conduct annual customer-wide software user/server licensing audits and maintain associated databases.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Establish and maintain effective liaison between government customer and COTS vendors to insure latest technology and product support.

• Interface with government customer and their customers at all levels, concerning all aspects of software product support.

• Track software product versions, license counts and associated support agreements.

• Perform software inventory and asset management. 

• Expedite and streamline software CD replication and customer delivery process to minimize costs.

• Maintain accurate software databases that track product and software support request(s) to assure software licensing compliance.

• Provide timely software product price quotes at customer requests.

• Generate software registration and key code files in support of vendor software site license agreements with government customer.

• Provide worldwide software products and support for government customer deployed activities.

 





Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements:  BS in Business, Logistics, Logistics Management engineering, or Information Systems and a minimum of 5 year experience is required. May substitute 7+ years of experience in related fields on programs/projects of a complex nature for BS + 5 years.  Requires a basic understanding of software maintenance principles and software configuration functions.



Should have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently within a broad scope of authority and minimal supervision and possess sufficient working knowledge with computer desktop software such as Microsoft Office Suite. 



Current IA Certification highly desired.
