Entry Level Help Desk
JOB Description
1. Work in a IT Help Desk environment for the Customer Care Center (CCC). The Consultants will assist with providing Level 1 Help Desk support for the customers of the Customer Care Center. The CCC team will be comprised of Level 1 agents with a technical background (either hardware or software related support).
2. Customer Care Center (CCC) provides Level 1 help desk support (receive initial calls, triage calls, and refer unresolved calls to appropriate Level 2 and 3 organizations, for over 50,000 personal computers, terminals, and peripherals, located at more than 1,500 locations across New York State.
3. A full range of modern, automated tools are available to the CCC, including telephony systems that provide efficient management of calls, broadcasts of significant known problems for call and cost avoidance, and direct call routing.
MANdatory skills
1. Must possess an Associate’s Degree in Computer or Information Science OR one (1) year of satisfactory work experience on an IT Help Desk/User Support environment.
DESIRED SKILLS
1. Associate’s Degree in Computer or Information Science, AND one (1) year of satisfactory work experience on an IT Help Desk/User Support environment
2. Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer or Information Science
3. Demonstrated Help Desk Agent Certification/Training
4. Demonstrated Customer Service Certification/Training
5. Demonstrated experience with the HP Service Center software (formerly Peregrine Service Center)
6. Demonstrated experience in meeting ambitious deadlines and delivering high-quality work on schedule
7. Demonstrated experience working closely with business customers to develop user requirements
8. Demonstrated leadership skills, communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
9. A+ certification
10. MCP certification
11. Demonstrated ability to provide knowledge transfer
12. Demonstrated ability to work independently.
