Entry-level Engineer

 

 

TransCore, a subsidiary of Roper Industries, Inc. (NYSE: ROP), is seeking an Entry-level Engineer based in mid-town Manhattan. 

 

The candidate selected for this position will assist in the design and implementation of Freeway Management Systems on NYC highways.  The Engineer will assist in fieldwork and preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for electronic equipment, including fiber optics, CCTV, LANs and HVAC. 

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

 BS in Engineering—BSEE or BSCEKnowledge of material-electrical codes.Basic electrical and communications design experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Valid/clean US driver’s license.Ability to work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.  Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office programs. Experience on Local Area Networks (LAN’s) a plus.
