Exstream Dialogue Developers

JOB OVERVIEW:

 

·  To provide the programming expertise required for the development of client/server applications in a Win-Tel environment using Exstream Dialogue as the composition software. 

·  Responsible for co-designing and developing Dialogue applications based on the business requirements of the clients, to ultimately execute document composition software that will produce the required output documents as defined by the Bowne clients. 

·  Responsible for delivering accurately coded programs and processes, in an efficient and timely manner. 

·  Required to interface with Professional Services (Project Managers and Business Analysts).

 

JOB DUTIES:

 

·  Development and enhancement (programming) of internal and external client/server and Web-to-print applications that meet or exceed requirements.

·  Thorough unit testing and system testing prior to submitting to Quality Assurance.

·  Translating business requirement specifications into technical code.

·  Co-designing Dialogue applications.

·  Primary location is Bowne’s West Caldwell facility. 

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·  College degree, BA, or equivalent computer programming certification.

·  Minimum three years of full-time programming experience.

·  Proficiency with a minimum 2 years experience in each of the following:

o Exstream Dialogue

o Client server environment, using VB and .NET 

o Korn Shell scripts (not necessarily a requirement)

·  Communication skills suitable for interfacing with clients, sales reps, and product group reps. 

·  Proficiency in interpreting business requirements into written program specifications. 

·  Proficiency in testing (QC) and production implementation. 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE OF THESE PLUSES:

 

·  Knowledge in the Document Composition and Print business.

·  Knowledge of 3rd party vendor software related to the Document Print Business:

o Postal Software:  Group-1, Anchor

o Streamweaver

o EZ-Letter
