 External Interface Tester  Job Code: GCSD02081130 Harris Corporation is serving as the systems integrator and provides overall program management for the U.S. Census Bureau's 5-year $600 million dollar Field Data Collection Automation (FDCA) program. This critical program for the 2010 Census includes the design, development, testing and deployment of advanced, automated systems that will deliver near real-time data using an architecture with multiple and overlapping security features, including fingerprint authentication, password authentication, role-based access, automatic data encryption, firewalls, and virus protection.  Job Description: The External Interfaces test role is responsible for interfacing with the Systems and Software Teams, as well as with the customer to ensure that their assigned interface has been fully integrated in the system. They are responsible for writing test plans, test procedures, working to and helping to maintain the schedule, and running the tests necessary to sell off their interface requirements.    Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have at least 5+ years of software development lifecycle experience with at least one year of SQL experience.  Experience with Mercury Test Director and/or Rational ClearQuest is a plus.  This is a client-facing role.  Experience: The candidate will be expected to attend requirements, design, and code reviews to ensure the interface meets the specifications.  This person will also interface with the customer’s interfaces team, and as such should have excellent personal, oral, and written communication skills.
